Movies: Shrek 3

I recently saw Shrek 3 and was quite a funny movie and though it was not my favorite movie this summer, the jokes and routine much like the other two pictures of Shrek were still there. The events in this movie include Shrek not wanting to be the next king of far far far away and the eventual news taht Fiona and Shrek were going to be parents. once again Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Antonio Banderas and Cameron Diaz joined the ranks of humor and fun with their alter egos in the Shrek series. My good friend Jeremy claims there is quite a number of doors to open with another couple Shrek movies.  I agree with him and we thought the next story could be the new King of far far far away looking for a wife.  Calling in Shrek and his friends the movie steers in that direction. If the new king Artie Pendragon can hook up with Gueneviere or some other female history and fictional character. Hey Artie maybe get Cinderella, Belle or Snow White. Who knows what crazy ideas the writers of Dreamworks Animation have in store for Shrek and his gang.

Political 08

I recently saw on the news this morning that of Mrs. Obama displaying to electors a poor first woman role over last few weeks with mudslinging Hillary about her role as white house. Though Obama spokespeople said it was not related to the former first lady. Many watchers including my mom claims that her persona was not professional for a first woman. Though there was no comment by Clinton spokespeople, I believe Mrs. Obama’s words were unprofessional and she should keep her mouth quiet with mudlsing Obama’s biggest competitor in Democratic party. In my opinion I believe the Chicago press did in fact claim it was a mudlsinging hit on the former first lady and that Mrs. Obama might want to keep her mouth shut concerning other candidates.

Though this is my opinion I believe such actions were unprofessional and that Mrs. Obama might want to apologize for the remarks. If she does not it will have a huge impact on her husband’s run for candidacy. This additional story can be found at one of the major news networks websites worldwide. What do you think my fellow readers?

Politics 08

After watching the Democratic Debate yesterday on this week on ABC. It appears that all candidates are a possible presidency but several of them are loose guns.  I was not to keen on Senator Groves out of Alaska because his words were pretty much an old timer but some of his words caught the average voters ideas. Frankly it was a difficult to select a true candidate but the events are now in place until January. I enjoyed listening to both Hillary Clinton  and John Edwards as for Obama he had good words but his manner was not what I liked in a candidate. The remaining candidates each had strong points but the loose guns were the ones that turned me off. Though i said earlier I did not like to talk politics I needed to have a good idea on who the lead candidate would be. Right now it looks like I prefer Hillary and Edwards but that can all change as the events move forward in 2008. Good luck to all candidates but at this time I do not have a front-runner interest. But if I did have one I would say Hillary is my choice. Though John Edwards also caught my eye best luck to all.

What did u like about the debates and candidates?

In The News:

This area I will give my views on world events. Though I have been told in the past not to speak about Politics, Sex and Religion. I do have a point occassionally but Im more of a listener. My views are also that of a middle of the road Democrat like former president William Jefferson Clinton. In addition I continue to have an open mind.

Hey anyone seen Lois Lane (Erica Duncan) or is she out of the office with Superman. Erica if you are out there I’m still available. LOL

Book Reviews

Most bookworms like myself this section will concern my book reviews of certain books I have read and how I felt about reading the materials. Though I am mainly a Adventure story guy and enjoy authors such as Clive Cussler (*Favorite), James Rollins, Matthew Reilly and similiar others. Each of them assisted me in the creation of my adventure stories and I look foward to hearing from them if one day they stumble across this blog.

Movie Review and News

This area I will express  my feelings and new ideas that come out of Hollywood Magic and the impact it has had on me being a movie fan. Lets get started.

SUMMER MOVIES: A Rainbow Bridge That Could Have Been Better!

After serving a tour of duty in a movie theater this summer. Iwas extremely disappointed on the summer blockbusters this year. I believe my favorite summer movies were Transformers and Die Hard IV . I was very disappointed with Spiderman 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean 3. Here are some of the reasons why these four blockbuster hits were split in two.

Transformers        TRANSFORMERS: When I first heard the news on the Transformers movie I was extremely jumpy and hoping if successful it would convince Hollywood to bring back another favorite toy of mine growing up in the 1980s that being a GIJOE moviewhich sure enough is being worked on as we speak today. In effort to be a breadwinner I would hope that Michael “The Rock” Bay would be considered the main director for such a movie. In working with Steven Spielberg Michael Bay outdid himself and I was extremely confident in his Transformer movie and its sequels in the near future. As my good friend Jeremy “The Nerd Chieftain” Cox said Michael Bay conquered the lame excuses of some of his past movies and with Transformers he managed to bring the human side of the story in it not demonstrated from its past experiences of just being the Autobots and Decepticons.

The only grip at times thru the movie was the limited dialogue with certain characters and the annoying mother as portrayed and the lame excuse of an MIB agent played by John Turtorro. Though the mother played the comical relief of a mother raising a teenage son. As for Shia Lebleau and Megan Fox I enjoyed the romance but at times it was whimpy. I would have preferred the Computer Girl be the key heroine in the story but she was only a costar. Jake Durhamel played a good SOAR Operative and I look forward to seeing him again in similiar action movies.
